Welcome to Salt Lake Specialty Hospital
Salt Lake Specialty Hospital is a dedicated facility for patients who require additional care during their recovery, particularly those with complex medical needs following catastrophic illness or multi-system failure. Our 38-bed hospital offers a small, communal atmosphere with all private rooms, allowing us to provide individualized attention and focus on each patient’s journey toward optimal health.
We specialize in Long Term Acute Care (LTAC), treating patients who need extended recovery and rehabilitation, often after being discharged from a Short Term Acute Care Hospital (STACH).
With an average length of stay ranging from 25 to 35 days, we provide a wide range of services, including vent weaning, acute rehabilitation, and intensive nursing care, all within an acute care setting. Our multidisciplinary team of RNs, Respiratory Therapists, Wound Care Nurses, and Physical, Occupational, and Speech Therapists works collaboratively to deliver expert care. Additionally, specialty physicians, psychologists, dietitians, and social workers create individualized care plans, helping patients regain independence and return to their optimal level of health.
At Salt Lake Specialty Hospital, we are committed to delivering the highest caliber of healthcare services, and we strive to ensure that every patient experiences our motto: “Expert Care, Trusted by Physicians and Families.” We accept most insurance plans, including Medicare and Medicaid.
